Naive Set

Naive Set is a curatorial initiative, originally founded to cultivate meaningfully curated projects with early-career artists. It has since developed into a Glasgow-based collective, centred on alternative cultural production and collaborative curatorial research.

Since 2023, I have led projects both in Scotland and internationally. At present, I have shifted our attentions from traditional exhibition programming to focus on reframing Naive Set’s direction towards alternative research formats and collective activity. This includes internal events, publishing, and research. The decision to streamline our focus has largely been influenced by the Pavilion project at the 2024 Venice Biennale, alongside similar efforts responding to shifts in the Scottish cultural sector. These initiatives consider how cultural funding and programming might be reimagined through event-based research, in order to explore more caring, inclusive, and sustainable curatorial practices.
